"We're human. This is glue."
I met Lindsay over a decade ago and we are still friends to this day. I bought a ticket and boarded a train last weekend to her chateau, in celebration of her 31st birthday. She lives in Rhode Island (which isn't a road or an island). We watched television classic (Ally McBeal), ate good food (she can't resist a chinese chicken finger) and got into various levels of debauchery not suited for any blog (have you seen her drink?). In celebration of her day I began to wonder how and why we remain friends to this day. People come into your life and then they leave. They all serve a purpose. I think we are still friends to this day because we are shockingly alike. Maybe we share the same brain? Okay it doesn't go that far. But we are able to be quiet with each other. I don't think people realize what that means unless you have it. We don't have to say sorry or constantly ask how we are. We know how we are. We are both still searching. She doesn't see how much of a leader she is how brave. It's easier to see the bad (so here I try to show her the good). She is a writer. A teacher. We are all human. And this is glue. Some day soon she will find her Biscuit.
