My NK Drama kids ROCK!

It's me, Lindsay. I know i've been MIA the past few posts but I have an excuse...I've been crazy busy and just haven't had a moment to update all of our amazing readers about what has been going on in the life of Lindsay! I apologize, please forgive!

Have any of you spent three months working so hard to perfect something you care about? That is what I have been doing. It was NK Drama season and with each year, it brought me stress, insomnia, tears and most of all the most incredible experience of my life. It always ends up being a whirlwind of activity and emotions and as much as I complain about it, it is the most important thing to me and is something I look forward to every day.

This year we put on a production of "Camp Rock: the Musical", which was something so far away from what we have done in the past. I wanted to get away from the Disney Princess shows and do something fun and different. It was a challenge and a lot of hard work, but in the end it was totally worth it. I know I gave everything I had into this year, and I can say with almost 100% certainty that my kids did the same.

The performances went up Saturday (6/25/11) and Sunday (6/26/11) and both days were so great. There was so much dancing and singing that it was hard to get bored, which is a great thing. I can't even express to you all how proud I am of my kids! They just surpass all of my expectations of them and their talent floors me.

At the end of the Sunday performance I was called up on the stage, as per usual and was given flowers. Something unexpected, they framed a poem for me, which was beautiful and so sweet. All of my kids signed the matte and Michaela read it to me as I tried my best not to cry. Then all 82 of my kids gathered around me for a huge group hug. <3 <3 <3

These kids mean the world to me! I don't know what I would do if they weren't a part of my life.
